This week, life reminded me of its polarity — its thrashing storms & the rainbows that come after it; its bitterness, followed by its sweetness; its reality & its dreams; its temporariness & its infiniteness.

You can't pick one. You don't get to choose how much of each you're given. You just got to accept what is, and I'm grateful for both.

This week, I'm especially thankful for:

☀️ the sun on my skin
🏔 adventures that fuel my soul
👩🏼‍💻 achievement of my biz goals (hello, @mediavine)
🧡 being in a partnership of unconditional love
💛 loving unconditionally
🍃 breath to sustain me
🐈 the comfort that purrs bring

As a digital nomad, I get to choose where to live! I think that's the best part. It's just one of many pros of this lifestyle.

MY BIG SECRET... FINALLY REVEALED 🤩

I'M ABOUT TO BE A REAL-LIFE PUBLISHED AUTHOR!!! ✍️

This is a dream come true, truly. "Become a published author" has literally been on my life's bucket list for as long as I can remember. I have been sitting on this secret since July (the same month we found out about Yoda's cancer — funny how that works, huh?), but I only just signed my contract recently and didn't want to jinx anything. 😆

What's even more magical about this, friends, is this: I got this opportunity thanks to MY TRAVEL BLOG.

My blog writing attracted an editor and now I'm going to be an author published by St. Martin's Press @stmartinspress an imprint of @macmillanusa.

The book will be a guided journal for upcoming or current digital nomads taking the leap to work remotely, travel, and live abroad (so, basically everything I do now!).

Best of all? This is just the beginning. ✨

If you saw my stories, you'd have seen we suddenly decided to scrap plans to go to Canada (to get our van back 🚐 after nearly 2 years) and instead go somewhere that's been on our bucket list for a while...

... GUADELOUPE! 🐠 🌴

Did you know about the French archipelago of Guadeloupe before? When looking at it on a map, it looks like a 🦋

First, though, we have to finish up with Yoda's radiation and ensure all is well — he has 4 sessions left! 🐾 Then comes the planning phases, like finding a place to live, and all the other BTS work of being a digital nomad. 💻

Of course, we are excited about leaf-peeping 🍁 for a bit before trading the chilly autumn air for some Caribbean sunshine in a couple of weeks! 🌞
